The Uniform Patrol Division provides the foundation for all law enforcement efforts of the Anderson Sheriff's Office. The Uniform Patrol Division is the largest division with these deputies assigned to perform the most visible and recognizable functions of the Sheriff's Office by answering calls for service and patrolling the 777 square miles of Anderson County.
In terms of Uniform Patrol, the Anderson County Sheriff's Office operates under a regional concept. The four regions of the county have an assigned Captain who oversees the area and conducts community groups in those areas. These Captains conduct community meetings to keep citizens better informed about crime trends that may affect their areas and tips to better protect themselves. During these meetings, Captains take feedback from citizens on issues that are important to the various communities. If you would like to become involved in an existing community group or start a new group, please contact the Captain of your region. You may also contact your Captain should you have a specific problem in your area.
