Sheriff Chad McBride is a proven law enforcement leader with the experience to serve and protect all of the citizens of Anderson County. He understands that an effective Sheriff’s Office operates efficiently and under budget and wants Anderson County to be the safest place to live, work and raise a family.

He attended Wren and T.L. Hanna High Schools. He also attended Anderson University for both his Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees.

Sheriff McBride has worked in public law enforcement for over 23 years in a number of roles including Uniform Patrol Officer, Investigations, Professional Standards, and in Public Affairs for the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. In addition to his law enforcement experience, Sheriff McBride is a Veteran of the US Army Reserves and US Army National Guard.

Sheriff McBride currently volunteers and serves on several boards throughout our county. Most importantly, Sheriff McBride is husband to Leanne McBride and has 3 beautiful daughters.
